What you learn

  • SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) method

  • Approach for analyzing setup processes

  • 8 steps to reduce setup times

  • What are setup standards and how are they created?

  • Continuous alternation between theory, simulation exercises and practical phases in production

 

How you learn

  • Practical training in 2 modules at a production location to be defined in advance.

  • Between the modules there is a phase lasting several weeks in which what has been learned is put into practice on the job.

  • In the second module experiences from the practical working phase are addressed and the knowledge gained is deepened and expanded.

 

Your benefits

  • You are able to analyze setup processes and optimize them by applying a structured approach.

  • The potential for reducing setup times is already evident in the first block.

  • On completion of the multi-week working phase, the optimization phase is largely complete and the achieved successes are sustainably secured.
